The Truth Hidden in Storage Unit

In the letter, Thomas revealed he was dying of pancreatic cancer. Before his death, he confessed that everything Eli believed about his conviction had been built on lies. He warned him that the truth wasn’t gone—it was hidden in a storage unit Linda never expected anyone to open.

Eli went straight to Westridge Storage and unlocked Unit 108. Inside were boxes of financial records, medical files, photos, and forged documents, along with a flash drive labeled: “Watch before you read.” On the video, a weakened Thomas confirmed what no one had ever told Eli—that he had never stolen anything from the company.

The real thief was Trevor, Linda’s son, who had moved money through fake accounts. When exposure became likely, Trevor framed Eli, and Linda helped cover it up by handing over passwords and planting evidence. Thomas admitted he discovered the truth too late, but spent his final months collecting proof to clear his name.
