Pray for Dan Bongino

They’ve Put Dan Bongino Under 24/7 Guard — Here’s Why
It’s no longer just politics — it’s personal.

In an era where rhetoric escalates faster than reason, top Trump administration officials are now living under round-the-clock protection due to serious threats — and taxpayers are footing the bill.

CBS News has confirmed that former Secret Service agent and now FBI Assistant Director Dan Bongino is receiving 24/7 security inside FBI headquarters, on the road, and even at his home. He’s not alone. Homeland Security’s immigration czar Tom Homan is also under continuous protection — a rotating team of nearly 30 armed agents shielding him from what DHS calls “dangerous rhetoric” and “online doxxing” driven by far-left media and Democrat-aligned influencers.

“This isn’t just paranoia. These are real threats,” a DHS official told reporters.
The financial burden? Nearly $1 million per month, according to unnamed officials familiar with the security plans — including flights, hotels, salaries, and logistics.

Critics on the left, like MSNBC contributor and former FBI agent Frank Figliuzzi, are mocking the measures, calling them unnecessary and wasteful. “Is this really about safety or just political theater?” Figliuzzi asked on NBC News.

But insiders close to Bongino say otherwise.

“Because of the sensitivity of what the FBI deals with, both the Director and I have to be circumspect in what we can make public,” Bongino wrote on X. “Bad guys read this stuff too. Neither one of us came here to play games.”
He continued:

“Measure us by results. You will see them. But just because you don’t see something happening right this second, doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.”
DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin says the threats have increased dramatically in recent months. She specifically pointed to left-wing activists and public figures who have used fiery rhetoric that, in her words, “crosses the line from protest to incitement.”Homan, who’s been a frequent guest on Fox News and a vocal advocate for strict border enforcement, has been a particular target. Protestors have shown up at his home. His personal information has been posted online. And now, the government is treating it as a matter of national security.

“We will continue to take measures to ensure Mr. Homan and his family are safe,” McLaughlin said.
The chilling reality? We’ve entered a moment in American history where political disagreements aren’t just debated — they’re weaponized.

Whether it’s a case of real, credible threats or political maneuvering depends on who you ask. But for officials like Bongino and Homan, the message is clear: the job now comes with a target.

And the cost of protection? Just another line item in America’s polarized age.
