My Husband’s Ex Wanted to Make Me Homeless and Poor, But Karma Got Her

Sofia, 35, opened out about her husband, Alex, who sadly passed away unexpectedly five months ago. “I was broken when this happened, and I’m still mourning my loss,” she said in her post.

Alex, 45, had two boys from a previous marriage to his ex-wife Natalie. Sofia stated that the boys “treated their dad like an ATM,” but she did not interfere with Alex’s parenting. Following his passing, Natalie and his boys removed many of his items and sent the funeral bill to Sofia, who paid.

Sofia had spent her own money refurbishing the house she shared with Alex, only for Natalie to inform her she needed to “take my things and leave” since they were going to sell the place. When Sofia requested a refund for the modifications, everyone refused.

Sofia moved out and purchased an apartment with her funds. However, Natalie and her boys learned that they couldn’t sell the property because Alex had registered Sofia’s name on it. They scheduled a meeting and urged Sofia to divide the sale with them, but she declined. “I didn’t hesitate and confidently said no, just like they did when I asked for a refund.”

Sofia is divided now that she owns the mansion. While she held firm with Alex’s sons, she acknowledges, “Something in my heart makes me feel unhappy about my decision,” and she has reservations about her actions. “What should I do?”
