After more than 20 years in Los Angeles, Ozzy Osbourne made news in August 2022 when he revealed that he and his wife, Sharon Osbourne, intended to return to the UK.<\/p>\n

But the couple hasn\u2019t moved across the pond yet, almost two years later. They talked about this in a recent episode of The Osbournes Podcast, which aired on Tuesday, July 16.
\n\u201cWe\u2019re trying to get on a flight,\u201d Ozzy, 75, said, responding to a listener\u2019s question about the move.<\/p>\n

Ozzy\u2019s health has hindered the trip, Sharon, 71, continued. In a January podcast interview, the Black Sabbath singer disclosed that he has undergone \u201cseven surgeries in the past five years,\u201d including his fourth spinal surgery in September 2023. He was diagnosed with Parkinson\u2019s disease in 2003, and he still sees specialists to address its symptoms.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt just seems that every time we\u2019re set to go, something happens with Ozzy\u2019s health,\u201d Sharon said on Tuesday.
\n\u201cWe\u2019ll get there,\u201d Sharon added. \u201cWe want to go back so bad, but we\u2019ll get there. Won\u2019t we, Ozzy?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah,\u201d he responded, with Sharon encouraging him. \u201cWe will.\u201d
\nOzzy had previously stated that the volatile political climate and gun violence in the United States were major factors in his wish to depart.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything\u2019s f\u2014\u2014 ridiculous there,\u201d he told The Observer in an interview published on Aug. 28, 2022. \u201cI\u2019m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert\u2026 It\u2019s f\u2014\u2014 crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t want to die in America,\u201d Ozzy added, noting the famous cemetery in Los Angeles. \u201cI don\u2019t want to be buried in f\u2014\u2014 Forest Lawn. I\u2019m English. I want to be back. It\u2019s just time for me to come home.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sharon concurred, adding, \u201cAmerica has changed so drastically. It isn\u2019t the United States of America at all. Nothing\u2019s united about it. It\u2019s a very weird place to live right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to The Observer at the time, the couple, who are parents to Kelly Osbourne, 39; Jack Osbourne, 38; and Aimee Osbourne, 40, as well as Jessica and Louis, whom the Ozzy singer shares with his first wife, Thelma Riley, had intended to return to the United Kingdom in February 2023.

\nOzzy has been providing regular health updates on The Osbournes Podcast. After decades of battling drug and alcohol addiction, he boasted in January about the positive effects of sobriety, claiming that a visit to the doctor revealed that \u201cmy blood clots are gone\u201d and \u201ceverything\u2019s back to normal.\u201d<\/p>\n

But the emotional impact of his health issues has also weighed on the singer. Asked by a listener on Tuesday\u2019s episode about \u201cthe one thing you\u2019ve lost, misplaced or given up you wish you could have again,\u201d Ozzy answered, \u201cMy health.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you lose your health, nothing else f\u2014\u2014 matters,\u201d he said.
