Teenager Brooklyn Horan and 35-year-old Tyson Jemmett were the two people who tragically passed away.<\/p>\n

When Horan and Jemmet\u2019s car crashed into a river at the Arcadia Road Rallysprint in Paparoa, they were racing..<\/p>\n

According to a police investigator, the car went off the gravel road and into a flooded river.<\/p>\n

First responders pronounced both of them dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe event took place on Arcadia Road in Paparoa<\/p>\n

which was closed to the public for the duration of the event under the authority of the local Road Controlling Authority,\u201d<\/p>\n

a statement from MotorSport said.\u201cIt is too early in the investigation to comment on what the main contributing factors to the crash were,<\/p>\n

however, it does not seem as though the road was in a detrimental or unsafe condition.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOur thoughts are with the families and friends of these two competitors and everyone involved with the Arcadia Road Rallysprint,<\/p>\n
