Two old men, Abe and Sol, sit on a park bench feeding pigeons and talking about baseball.

\nAbe turns to Sol and asks, \u201cDo you think there\u2019s baseball in Heaven?\u201d<\/p>\n

Sol thinks about it for a minute and replies, \u201cI dunno. But let\u2019s make a deal \u2014 if I die first, I\u2019ll come back and tell you if there\u2019s baseball in Heaven, and if you die first, you do the same.\u201d<\/p>\n

They shake on it and sadly, a few months later, poor Abe passes on. Soon afterward, Sol sits in the park feeding the pigeons by himself and hears a voice whisper, \u201cSol\u2026 Sol\u2026 .\u201d<\/p>\n

Sol responds, \u201cAbe! Is that you?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes it is, Sol,\u201d whispers Abe\u2019s ghost.<\/p>\n

Sol, still amazed, asks, \u201cSo, is there baseball in Heaven?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWell,\u201d says Abe, \u201cI\u2019ve got good news and bad news.\u201d \u201cGimme the good news first,\u201d says Sol.<\/p>\n

Abe says, \u201cWell, there is baseball in Heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sol says, \u201cThat\u2019s great! What news could be bad enough to ruin that?\u201d<\/p>\n

Abe sighs and whispers, \u201cYou\u2019re pitching on Friday.\u201d<\/p>\n
