A United States Air Force Veteran uploaded a video on Facebook Live, recounting a bizarre experience involving an unidentified neighbor.<\/p>\n
Justin Schroeder, 36, had returned home after running errands only to find a note at his front door. \u201cMan, I don\u2019t even know where to start,\u201d he said in the Facebook Live video. \u201cI\u2019ve met some stupid people in my lifetime, but this takes the cake.\u201d<\/p>\n
Schroeder panned his camera towards the American flag at the front of his home.<\/p>\n
\u201cJudging by the trucks in your driveway, I can only assume you voted for Trump,\u201d he read and then showed viewers the vehicles parked in the area.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a disgusting house, and Bozeman deserves better,\u201d Schroeder read, then quickly responded: \u201cYou\u2019re right \u2013 it does. Pack your s\u2013t and leave.\u201d<\/p>\n
The letter continued: \u201cIf not taken down by tonight, I will take it down myself. This is not a fight you want. We will win. Sincerely, your neighbor.\u201d<\/p>\n
Schroeder crumpled the note and threw it on the ground. He then replied; \u201cI\u2019ve met some stupid f\u2013king people in my lifetime, but I can tell you right now, that flag right there? That flag ain\u2019t comin\u2019 down.\u201d<\/p>\n
He walked out on the street and told viewers that he just realized that he was the only person on his street flying an American flag outside the house.<\/p>\n
He stated, \u201cI just don\u2019t get it. This flag is a symbol of freedom.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThis flag flies year-round at my house,\u201d he said. \u201cIt will never come down.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added, \u201cAnd to the person that thinks they\u2019re gonna try to take it down? I\u2019ll break your f\u2013king fingers.\u201d
\nSpeaking to Blue Lives Matter, Schroeder said, \u201cIt\u2019s been unreal the amount of support I\u2019ve gotten from people,\u201d and that a stranger drove to his home and gave him a new flag just in case the neighbor stole the other one.<\/p>\n
A few people offered to camp outside Schroeder\u2019s home to protect him and the flag, while others urged him to report the matter to police.
\nHe replied: \u201cThere\u2019s no reason to bother the police. They\u2019ve got bigger things to deal with.\u201d<\/p>\n
He admitted that he had received a number of death threats and negative comments: \u201cIt doesn\u2019t phase me. Somebody got triggered\u2026 If I was that person, I\u2019d be hiding under a rock right now,\u201d he said dismissively.<\/p>\n
He told Blue Lives Matter; \u201cThe solution is pretty simple. I just moved the flag 10 feet higher. Somebody\u2019s going to notice some guy walking down the street with a ladder.\u201d<\/p>\n
He also installed hidden security cameras, but there have been no suspicious actions recorded so far.<\/p>\n
\u201cFeel free to have your freedom of speech, but this crosses the line. The American flag, to me, is a symbol of love. And I love my country,\u201d Schroeder said.<\/p>\n
