Heartbroken fans have taken to social media to pay tribute to the beloved star.<\/p>\n
One user writes: \u201cI just watched Lilo & Stitch, I loved his part, what tragic news. RIP.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cCondolences to the family,\u201d someone else\u2019s pens. \u201cMy daughter and I watched this on opening night, and he made us laugh so hard.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI loved the live-action movie; it was good, and he did a great job. May God bless his family and give them strength,\u201d a third person adds.<\/p>\n
A fourth says: \u201cRest in paradise. \u2018Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
The family of 46-year-old David Hekili Kenui Bell confirmed his passing.<\/p>\n
His sister, Jalene, shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook: \u201cIt is with a heavy heart I share that my sweet, generous, talented, funny, brilliant, and handsome little brother David H. K. Bell will spend today in the company of our Heavenly Father.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jalene also shared her brother\u2019s love for being an \u2018actor\u2019 and his excitement for the \u2018film and television industry.\u2019<\/p>\n
She continued: \u201cHe recently made it onto the big screen with an iconic Lilo & Stitch moment.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe planned ahead and purchased the best seats in the house for us all to go together to opening night in Kapolei just two short weeks ago.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jalene also shared that her brother had enjoyed doing voice-overs.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou can hear him over the PA system on arrival at Kona Airport, where he loved working to create an awesome and safe customer experience,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was and will remain a bright and shining star.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bell became a viral hit in the Lilo & Stitch live-action film, in which he played the beloved Shave Ice Man, who drops his shave ice every time he\u2019s on screen.<\/p>\n
The 46-year-old also appeared in Magnum P.I. and Hawaii Five-0. He will also be in the upcoming action comedy, The Wrecking Crew.<\/p>\n
Bell\u2019s agent told People: \u201cI am learning like you through social media. This is heartbreaking and sad.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was one of my best talents and embodied the true meaning of aloha\u2026 a gentle giant.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hawaii police confirmed that Bell died on June 12 at 2:26 p.m.<\/p>\n
An official spokesperson shared: \u201cWe have launched a coroner\u2019s inquest investigation (as is standard practice) and an autopsy is being scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.<\/p>\n
