I came home from work expecting to find my daughter, Lily, and her babysitter, Jessica, safe and sound. But the house was<\/p>\n

eerily quiet and empty. No giggles, no cartoons, no signs of life. Panic set in. I called Jessica no answer. That\u2019s when I<\/p>\n

remembered the AirTag I had slipped into Lily\u2019s pink backpack. When I opened the app,my heart nearly stopped: she was at the airport.<\/p>\n

I drove like a maniac, following the signal with dread. At the terminal, I spotted her backpack and then Jessica, Daniel (my ex),<\/p>\n

and his awful mother, Brenda. They had planned to take Lily out of state without telling me! Brenda smiled like she\u2019d done me afavor. Jessica looked confused she\u2019d been lied to. They claimed it was \u201cjust a beach trip,\u201d<\/p>\n

but I saw it for what it was: kidnapping.<\/p>\n

Airport security got involved fast. I made it clear this wasn\u2019t a misunderstanding it was manipulation. Brenda tried to act<\/p>\n

innocent, Daniel brushed it off, but they both knew they\u2019d gone too far. Jessica apologized profusely when she realized the<\/p>\n
