Known as \u201cCrackers,\u201d he served the royal family for 35 years,including 15 years as the princes\u2019 personal protector.<\/p>\n<p>Craker was with the young princes at Balmoral when they learned of Princess Diana\u2019s tragic death in 1997.<\/p>\n<p>He later recalled the moment William quietly thanked him after hearing the news.<\/p>\n<p>During Diana\u2019s funeral, Craker walked behind the hearse with William and Harry.<\/p>\n<p>He said Prince William gave him a reassuring nod, knowing Craker was there for their mother\u2019s final journey.<\/p>\n<p>Crowds wept and tossed flowers as the hearse passed.
